Charity Fishing Match for the Alzheimer’s Society

15th October 2017 On the 15 October 2017, Swallowfield Fishing Club held their annual charity match in aid of a worthy cause in the local area. This year’s chosen charity was the Alzheimer’s Society which has a local office in London Street, Reading.The match was held at New Farm Fishery, Hawthorn Hill near Maidenhead.

Swallowfield Fishing Club would like to thank New Farm Fishery for hosting the event on the day and to all of those anglers who took part in the match and also those who purchased tickets for the raffle.In total, £335.00 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society which was a great achievement and would not have been possible without the tremendous efforts of Match Secretary, Mr. Dave Shears and Chairman, Mr. Barney Fairbrother who contacted a wide range of local businesses for support in the way of donations as prizes for the raffle.

As a result, Swallowfield Fishing Club would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the following businesses and organisation’s for their support without whom, this event would not have been the success it was.
