Polite Request For Unused/Unwanted Angling Equipment To Provide Tutoring & Assistance To Young & Disabled Anglers.
The BCAA Fisheries Officer, Mr Richard Power, is actively engaged in providing tutoring & assistance to young & disabled anglers, through his work with the Professional Angling Association. In particular with regard to the disabled anglers, Richard works closely with Mr Dave Phillips, of Wey Valley Diasbled Anglers Society.
Richard is trying to amass a collection of fishing equipment which he can use on these training sessions and supervised sessions. Many of the people he works with and guides do not have their own equipment and cannot afford to spend money on such equipment, at least until they are sure that they intend to continue in the pursuit.
Accordingly, Richard would like to ask all affiliated clubs and members if they could donate any unused or unwanted fishing tackle, of any kind, so that he can use it when teaching or supervising these fishing sessions.
Any type of tackle would be appreciated, and would go to good use, encouraging and instructing young and disabled people to take up the noble, relaxing and enjoyable sport of angling.
If you can help in any way, or if any club members might be able to help (please make them aware of this request), then please contact Richard on: 01256 540686 or 07814 995265.
