Rubbish Dumped In Swallowfield Park
On Sunday 23 March, one of the club members arrived at Pitts Bridge to wait for others to arrive for the scheduled working party. The pictures on the right show what greeted him as he drove over the bridge. This pile of rubbish had been dumped in the lay by on the main park driveway in Swallowfield Park. Presumeably this had been done in the late/early hours of Saturday/Sunday. As you all will well know, the park has always been pretty much litter free and we would hope to keep it this way. It is quite understandable that no one would have been around to witness this, but if anyone should recognise the registration number in the bottom photo then maybe it could be traced as the owner may be responsible for the rubbish. We would ask anyone that may see such a practice going on to report it as soon as possible to the Fishing Club or to Mr Mark Robbins of Farley Farms, so that we can put a stop to this.
